ACMobility, Ayala’s mobility arm, continues to open new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the country. Last June, it opened an EV charging station up north in Ilocos Norte. Now, it has opened another EV charging hub, but this time it’s on the way south, in Lucena City.
ACMobility is proud to announce that it has expanded its nationwide EV charging network with the launch of a new EV charging station located within the PTT Lucena fuel station, which is also just across the Lucena City Government Complex. ACMobility shared that through this new EV charging station, long-distance EV travel to South Luzon and Bicol becomes more feasible.
For context, the distance from Manila to Bicol is around 450 to 500 km, which could be a challenging journey via an EV. This is why ACMobility decided to open a new EV charging station at PTT Lucena so that EV owners can travel farther with less range anxiety. As such, the PTT Lucena EV charging station is seen as a critical stopover where EV owners can charge their vehicles as well as take rest stops, as the fuel station has nearby restaurants and convenience stores.
ACMoblity’s EV charging station at PTT Lucena features a 120 kW DC fast charger with two charge points for rapid charging and a 22 kW AC charger with one charge point for standard use. The company shared that there will be more EV charging stations in the Lucena City area with the addition of two more AC chargers in the Giant Gas Lucena station along Eco Tourism Road. Of note, all EV chargers are supported by the Evro app, allowing users to locate stations, check availability, charge, and pay with ease.

With its proximity to the New Lucena City Hall, the ACMobility EV charging station also supports Lucena’s efforts to advance cleaner and more efficient mobility for its communities. The site gives the local government convenient access to EV charging infrastructure that can complement future electrified transport programs.
“We are building up Lucena City as a gateway location for wider interregional mobility in the country. With this new charging infrastructure built at the heart of Lucena, we are enabling more EV owners to travel confidently from South Luzon all the way to Bicol, helping build a more sustainable and connected transport ecosystem,” said Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.
