Honda CR-V, Civic get top honors at the 2024 ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards

Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has won several prestigious safety awards at the ASEAN NCAP (ASEAN New Car Assessment Program) Grand Prix Awards 2024. The international automotive safety assessment organization awarded the Honda CR-V with the Best Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), while the Honda Civic earned the Best Sedan. Additionally, Honda excelled in two other categories, reflecting their dedication to safety and a collision-free community in the ASEAN region: Consistent 5-Star Ratings Across All Models and Most 5-Star Ratings (2021-2023).

The 6th Generation CR-V achieved the highest score for Best Safety Performance in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). Its predecessor also garnered significant recognition and has won the Consistent 5-Star in ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award 2018 and Best SUV in Child Occupant Protection (COP) in Crash Worthiness Performance 2018.

The 11th Generation Civic continues to excel, being selected as the Excellence Award Best Sedan of the year based on its comprehensive safety performance score. Various sedans were evaluated in categories including Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist (SA), and Motorcyclist Safety (MS), with the Honda Civic emerging as the top performer among its peers.

In addition to the accolades for the CR-V and Civic, Honda received two more Excellence Awards for their other models. These included “Consistent 5-Star Ratings Across All Models (2021-2023)” and “Most 5-Star Ratings (2021-2023),” awarded to key models available in the Philippines: BR-V, Civic, CR-V, and HR-V.

These awards underscore Honda’s commitment to producing the safest vehicles and achieving their goal of zero traffic fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles worldwide by 2050. Honda remains steadfast in their dedication to enhancing the safety and comfort of their vehicles.
