Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) invited the motoring media to showcase their latest additions to their current commercial vehicle lineup. Not only that, we got to drive the trucks as well. Featuring the all new N-Series, F-Series, and the C & E-Series.
Blue Power is the newest eco-friendly diesel technology developed by Isuzu. Engineers and specialists pursued these 4 main objectives during the development stage to achieve the Blue Power technology benefits– Maximum Engine Output, Low Emission, Best Fuel Economy, and Durability.
The all-new N-Series features a new cab design, a spacious cab interior, high power and torque, power windows, and auto door lock. The NLR 77 which I was able to drive around the grounds of the Honda Safety Driving Center has a 3 liter, 4 cylinder, turbo intercooler CRDi diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The NLR 77 feels and drives like a sstandard van or pick up truck.
The improved C & E Series is now equipped with eco-friendly diesel technology, the Isuzu C&E Series Blue Power Euro V which can take on any load or road challenge. This line comes with the standard ABS, new Euro V Blue Power diesel engine, electronic tilting cab, reinforced chassis frame, and quick access panel.
The Isuzu F- Series trucks are the medium-duty truck of Isuzu that now comes with Euro IV Blue Power engine. The FVM which I tested is a 10-wheeler truck with a 6-cylinder inline, turbo intercooler CRDi engine mated with an 8-speed ES11109 manual transmission engine on a reinforced chassis frame.
These are just three of their new line of trucks and this is why IPC continues to dominate truck sales here in the Philippines.
